It’s fashion week in New York City which means that this city, which is one of the top fashion capitals of the world, is now a bustling mix of runway shows and events showcasing international designers’ clothing collections with beautiful models on the catwalks and celebrities in attendance. Welcome New York Fashion Week!
The Council of Fashion Designers of America, or CFDA, created the modern notion of a centralized “New York Fashion Week” in 1993, however NYFW is based on a much older series of events called “Press Week”, founded in 1943 to showcase American designers after World War II made it difficult to travel to Paris, where the idea of live models walking in designers’ clothing originated. The economic impact of New York Fashion Week is estimated at $887 million.
During this year’s New York Fashion Week shows taking place September 6th through September 11th, 2019, we couldn’t take our eyes off Rudy Bundini’s outstanding catwalk, which he performed for multiple designers including Adrian Alicea and Ron Tomson.
He was captured strutting his stuff in these incredible designs by multiple photographers from around the world.
Rudy represented AdrianAlicea’s show with a well-detailed formal suit with no shirt, paired with smokey eye make up. He was asked to close the show, stepping out of the line of over 60 other fashion models, to pose with the designer himself and super model Carol Alt, who he helped to close the show with.
For Ron Tomson’s collection Rudy Bundini stepped on stage as the headliner celebrity supermodel. With his spectacular glamorous walk in white jeans, a blue sweater half-opened, and a ragged leather jacket accented by cowboy boots with chains, he caused the Sony Hall’s audience to burst out cheering.
Rudy surprisingly walked back on stage with a second magnificent look, both being the opening and closing of Ron Tomson’s show. He wore an opened shiny jacket, exotic leather pants, and red bottom shoes. The Los Angeles based designer who couldn’t make it to NYC to showcase his amazing collection, found Rudy a great candidate to present his brand in his absence. And he was right!
Supermodel Rudy Bundini opened and closed New York Fashion Week with a bang!
